The Ukrainian Technological Society hosts its 49th Annual Dinner Dance and Presentation of the Ukrainian of the Year Award. This year's Awardee is His Eminence Archbishop Daniel of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the USA. He is being recognized for his three-year diplomatic effort which resulted in the promulgation and publication of the Tomos of Autocephaly for the Orthodox Church of Ukraine by the Ecumenical Patriarch of Constaninople, Bartholomew I, effectively liberating the Ukrainian Orthodox Church from under the yoke of the Russian Orthodox Church.
