Hundreds of antique and one of a kind items at a fraction of their original price are sold at the bazaar. Many people use this opportunity to find those special unique treasures. All the money from the bazaar is used to support St. John’s. Therefore, every purchase made is for a purpose. When you buy something, you are preserving the history, architecture, tradition, and living heart of St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church. The bazaar is not strictly for shopping, but for enjoying the culturally rich food. Ukrainian recipes passed down through generations are manifested through the ethnic foods on sale. With an array of Ukrainian food options— pierogies, holubtsi, halushky, kolbasa —everyone’s taste buds can be satisfied. The dozens of helpful pierogie pinchers and volunteers are responsible for the lingering smell of pierogies that reminds us of our past. After enjoying a delicious meal in the historic Church hall, baked cakes, cookies, muffins, pies, and strudels are for sale to enjoy. Come celebrate your culture, reminisce on your childhood, and fulfill your cravings at the annual Church bazaar.
